Xander Schauffele: American Professional Golfer

Early Life and Career

Alexander Victor Schauffele was born on October 25, 1993, in San Diego, California.

He started playing golf at a young age and quickly showed promise. In 2011, he won the California State Amateur Championship. Schauffele attended the University of Texas and played on the men's golf team. He was a three-time All-American and helped lead the Longhorns to the 2012 NCAA Championship.

Professional Career

Xander Schauffele turned professional in 2015.

He joined the PGA Tour in 2016 and quickly made a name for himself. In 2017, he won the Greenbrier Classic and the Tour Championship. He also finished in the top 10 at the Masters Tournament and the U.S. Open.

In 2018, Schauffele had another successful season.

He won the Tournament of Champions and the WGC-HSBC Champions. He also finished in the top 10 at the Masters Tournament, the U.S. Open, and the PGA Championship.

International Success

In 2020, Schauffele represented the United States at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

He won the gold medal in the men's individual competition. This was the United States' first gold medal in men's golf since 1900.
