Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz holds a double-digit lead over his Democratic challenger Colin Allred, according to a latest poll of the Lone Star States. A Cygnal poll conducted from April 4 to 6 among 1000 likely voters found Cruz leading 45-36.
The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.45 percentage points. When the dates of tracking polls from the same pollster overlap, only the most recent version is shown. See how Ted Cruz and Collin Allred compare in the polls leading up to the 2024 Texas senate election.
Cruz has held a consistent lead over Allred in recent polls. A University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll conducted in March found Cruz leading by 10 points, while a Quinnipiac University poll conducted in April found Cruz leading by 11 points.
Allred, a former NFL player and U.S. representative, is challenging Cruz for the first time. He has campaigned on a platform of expanding access to healthcare, investing in education, and protecting the environment.
